I know this place from internet. Since it's very near to Desaru, we put it into our place-to-go plan while we were heading to Teluk Ramunia that day.
You can get there by turn left to the junction 500m before juction to Desaru. Or take 9pm route when you reach at the roundabout to Desaru.
Tanjung Balau doesn't has white sand or yellowish sand like Desaru. It more likes Air Papan. But it's a safer place for children to play water if compare to Desaru. Moreover, there is a tower for life guard to monitor the tide so they will warn people to get back to shore if the current is not safe for swimmers.
Another very important good point is the wash room and shower room is clean and well maintained. It is definitely better than Desaru's wash room that I dare not to use it last 2 years. (But I am not sure if they have renovated the toilet so far.)
We have been there for 3 times. Tanjung Balau is definitely the good choice for picnic as it has a grass field.
Somehow, we could still see some people left without throwing their trash to the dustbin that was provided by the management.
