21 Nov 2013 Bandung, Indonesia - Mt Tangkuban Parahu

Tangkuban Parahu, the second place we visited after having lunch at Kampung Daun. Before arriving at the top, there was funny smell, not stinky, a bit like Korean bamboo salt, or boiled egg white, came into our nose. I wonder if this is smell of sulfur.

What a interesting greeting that Parahu gave us! Moreover, when we got to the top, I felt it was worth for spending more than 2 hours journey from Bandung Airport. The cold breeze at the top is refreshing with that smell though.

Group photo taken on Mt. Tangkuban Parahu, 1830m. Impressive view!

The water spring together with mud is static like a piece of jade in light-blue.
It looked as "cool" enough as I forgot it was a volcano.
I was wondering again, how hot it actually is down there.
This is our first time of seeing volcano in person from the edge of the crater and some more so close to it. That feeling is cool and amazing!

This is one of the most famous tourist place in Bandung. When you reach the country side, you would be interested by the scene of natural, mountains that you pass by, houses, people, flower and flora garden and horse "taxi".

The edge of the crater is very wide but we don't have much time and energy to walk that far. Because the park would be closed after 5 pm. If you came here, took some times to walk as far as possible so you can have different view of Tangkuban Parahu. (^.^)

Energetic kids

Very nice background for photo as it seemed like a piece of studio backdrop. Absolutely a ideal place for photographer.

Can't believe it is 1830 meters high but it is true, because Bandung located 768 meters above sea level. To know more about Bandung, check Wikipedia.
